
Rommel began his career as a speech and drama teacher in Manila, Philippines, and has taught learners across levels to communicate better. Currently, he teaches marketing and communication at Flinders University in South Australia. Prior to that, he ably served as Director of English at Raffles International Institute Mongolia for four years. Funded by the European Union, he was appointed as a visiting professor at the University of Finance and Economics, Mongolia, where he taught communication and research. In the Philippines, he was a university dean and worked as NEAP Chief, Professional Development Division of the Department of Education, where he led the design and facilitation of significant leadership training programs for teachers and school heads. Hence, in 2018, he was awarded by the Philippine Normal University for outstanding achievement in educational leadership. In 2020, he presented his research on using drama to enhance the oral communication skills of international students at the University of Oxford, UK, and at the University of Adelaide, Australia, last year.
At present, he strives to inspire transformative change through the power of effective communication and continuous education. With an unwavering dedication to excellence and a plethora of workplace and personal communication expertise, his mission is to empower people to communicate with authenticity, confidence, impact, and purpose.
He strongly believes that communication is a catalyst for both professional and personal development, not merely a tool. Ultimately, he hopes to make a lasting impression on everyone he interacts with by sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm, helping to create a society in which successful relationships and genuine communication are the pillars of success.
